The kindle version is defective and unreadable. Most of the text is a jumble of special characters. The book should be removed from Amazon's listing. I wonder why an earlier reviewer seemed to find it readable.... on my kindle it was complete gibberish. The problem is not merely a failure to produce umlaut Ed characters or the double S, but an extensive corruption of the text.Product details

You really need to know German to know which of these expressions are still used. Also, you really need to be able to read the old orthography to get the expressions. This is interesting for people who know and love the language, but I'm not sure it would be of any use to students of German. Be aware that this is a reprint of very old idioms, some of which are really antiquated.
